Hard wiring the Radar detector ...

Anyone have explicit directions on how to do this?
I tried search but no luck ... I know the roof console has
current cause the compass must take it ... But with
me even the simple things are sometimes to difficult ...

TIA

Cliff

/me remembers mentioning that little detail to someone the other day, and the offer to tie it in... damned FOGS.

=)

Good link btw, that trick works on an assload of cars/trucks and has worked flawless for me for at least 8-10 yeras on the cars i have done (and charge a minimum of 50-60$ for 10 mins of work for) =)

It truely rocks when you can come here and find people that not only can help you out with a problem, but have a web page with step X step directions.
Iam getting that warm fuzzy feeling again, whoops I pi$$ed myself

I hard wired my detector in. However I put mine on the lower center part of the windshield just above the windsheild wipers. I ran the wire in the gap between the windshield and the dash, then found a switched wire close to the fuse panel.

Don, won't that hamper the 360-degree protection of the detector?
