Question Computer reflashing question

Can any ford dealer reflash my computer from a CUX1 to a CUX2 or do I have to go to a SVT dealer? Also will they be able to program my computer for 3:73s or will I have to get a chip to program that in?

Later

it's technically up to the dealer. I went to a dealership and the service writer didn't know what the hell i was talking about. i asked to go see a mechanic and he was baffled to as what it was. i has to tell him what it meant to reflash a computer and he still didn't know what i was talking about. and this was an svt dealer!!!

I called three dealers (2 SVT) in the local area and asked about simply writing in a new code for different size tires (winters/etc). I got:

1. "I think maybe so. It'll cost $134.99"
2. "Sure, that's an SVT so it's slightly different. $99.50"
3. "Duuuhh. Um, what ECU? You mean the computer? I don't think we can do that..."

I asked #2 if I needed a special appointment for this lengthy process. He said "Heck no, just call the night before. It only takes a couple of minutes." I replied "So why do I have to pay for 1.5 hours of labor?" <silence> "That's our base charge."

I'd gladly pay $40 for this twice a year. Why the f- do I have to pay their mortgage as well? I wish someone made a dumbed down Hypertech programmer for this kind of setup for about $150.
