oh I 'll get'em....dont worry about that. We deal with a lot of business BS on a daily basis here and nothing gets by my company. The reason why being our accounting guys and the guys who write up the legal forms are wicked good at finding BS in other peoples paper work. Matt, the guy who going to handle most of this, laughed his *** off at what they did. He just shook his head and said "guess where I'll be monday." You Gotta love having guys like that on your staff to take care of these things for you. Its very comforting. I'll be sure to let you know what happens. I still think I may take this to channel 10 after I get my money back. Maybe a hundred " F_ _ _ _ FREEDOM FORD!" signs in their yard would be cool....hmmmm lol

ps. Anybody ever see the true blue L they had on their lot?
It was used, had 8k miles, had different pullys (not that they knew, I could tell) , They said it was at 410hp or something close and they wanted 35k for it. I couldnt contain myself from laughing at the salesmen. Then he really cracked me up and says " That thing real fast man...it would be even faster if they put intercoolers on them." WTF? : dip****

Freedom screwed me a bit too

Some B.S. I can remember was having to go in and "re-sign" the papers after the fact. They didn't give me my "full free tank of gas". I bitched and got 2 free tanks of gas then. Oh, this is the kicker, they never paid off my trade in. I was out of the country for work when my mom gets a call from the bank looking saying we missed the payment.

Truck has never been back. Walker Ford only touches it now.

I have spent a week refinancing my truck after my lease ended so that I can lower the payments and finish paying for her. My salesman,or should I say personal thief, has hidden 800$ of BS charges into my refinancing paperwork. This dealer originally screwed me out of 500 bux on my trade in back when I began my lease in 99. I have documented proof of my papers being changed after they were signed showing the addition of 400 dollars for "internal fees" and that they returned my original 400 dollar deposit from the actual lease.

They did not return any money to me and I am sicking my companie's lawyer on them as we speak. The guys to watch out for are mainly the head financing agents who work in offices in the back. (like cowards) The fat bald guy who heads that department is the only original employee who was there to screw me the 1st time. He no doubt controls the majority of the bad practices at this dealership. I will also contact Ford HQ directly and plead my case. I love Ford and I cant stand that these "dealers" are allowed to conduct business in this fashion. I let the original "screwing" slide till now. The fact that after 3 years and a toatally different salesman I still get F'd???? This is sooooooooooooo far from over, they have no idea....
Your first mistake,...............was LEASING that vehicle!! Or should I say (Rent w/ a contract) !!

I would NEVER lease one!! If I wanted to rent one, I'd go to Hertz or Enterprise!!

I know it helps a lot of people out, by not having to come up with a big down payment and such,.....................but if that was the case w/ me, I'd just buy one a year or two old and save the intial hit of the new car deprication!

Once the lease is up,.....or you contract is near end, your at the mercy of the dealer!! They'll stick to you ever single time! I have several freinds that work at dealerships, and they've all told me that leasing is ALWAYS a bad idea!!

Anyway,................sorry to hear about your bad experience!
Hope it works out for you!

An Observation----Miller lite

Many times people simply owe more than there trade-in is worth.....consequently, any remaining balance has to be paid by the owner...it is simple math.

Many folks today buy a vehicle at sticker price and in two years still owe 85% of that price....they trade it in and the wholesale value is only 60% of that price....someone has to pay that 25% diference, and it is always the customer...

I agree, sell the tradin yourself and you always get a better deal....the dealer does not have to advertise your old vehicle, clean it, repair it, or pay sales commission on it....those are the expenses that can be discounted off your new vehicle, assuming you are knowledgeable enough to negotiate well.....

Post take action...

But do it thoughtfully, not in anger.

1st: You cannot be held liable for slander, or libel if what you assert is true. Be it on the internet, phone, TV, radio, newspaper etc... "The truth is an incontrovertible defense against slander or libel"

2nd: given the number of pile on posts about this particular establishment, I would suggest everyone who 'piled on' let your fingers do the walking to the Ford 1800 customer service number. Followed up by a complaint to the county & state consumer protection agencies. Followed by the BBB- true they don't DO anything, but if someone looks there, they'll find your info.

Also, don't assume there's been no criminal wrong doing...

short story - Wife bought a '98 escort at a not to local VA dealership. Our one particular request was anti lock brakes. So it was written. Unfortunately the car delivered didn't have it, which I didn't notice until looking at the invoice at home. My wife shot me 'the Look' when I asked if she had looked over all the paperwork, so I left. Sure enough, she came home with a car without ABS. We called the sales bot, not in. Sales mgr. no help. Owner - secretary kept taking his calls. Finally, I told the secretary "I know you're intercepting his calls - Tell him we were sold a car in violation of the contract. Further tell him If we don't hear from him by 3:00 PM to the effect of 'yes Mrs. Smurfslayer, we'll have the correct car ready for you when you get here', we will have Mr. H. arrested by the sheriff's office for theft". 3:00 rolled around, no call. Called the sheriff, 1st thing he says - "it's a civil matter". Then I say "according to Commonwealth code, section .... it shall be unlawful..." Wife has paper saying she bought x, they delivered y...
Sheriff's deputy puts on sheriff - he concedes, it's a crime, asks if I want to press charges, I say 'just want the correct vehicle'. Sheriff calls dealer, then us, lets us know it's been taken care of. Owner calls us, will have car ready in 15 minutes.

Ok, maybe it wasn't short, but every once in a while, the law works in your favor

Never sign before thoroughly reading a contract, ever.

Don't get hot headed, but definitely stay firm & hold their 'feet to the fire' so to speak. Think about this - there were at least 5 pile on messages about this dealer in here. If just 4 of you file complaints, maybe the consumer protection arm of the local government will see a pattern... and do something about it.

1ST..I only leased because I was 17 when I got her...I couldnt afford the payments on a purchase plan so I figuerd I would just have to lose a bit to get the truck I wanted. I wasnt willing to accept anything less than what I had my mind set on. That part doesnt bother me...that was an informed decision I made on my own with no pressure from the dealer. This was a strait up altering of legal papers which is definitly a no no. I dont need the money but I take these things very personally and I dont like the idea that it could happen to some mother or a grandmother type person, or just someone who needs every cent of their money to get by. The dealers dont discriminate against who they ripp off. Everyone who walks in the door is a target, some more than others though. I just feel morally obligated to get them in trouble now, I will be speaking with ford directly about the matter. If any of you who have been taken by these guys or know someone who has, please do the same and let ford know about it. Im sure they will hop to and do some digging.( I hope ) I think if I name names and explain my entire story they should be embarrased enough to look into it. Especially if more than 1 person calls.....

We briefly looked at Mustangs there too. We got the usual swarm of salesmen foaming at the mouth as soon as our car door opened. They were VERY pushy to sell the car. Had to tell them MANY times we were not buying that day, period.
I will never go back there.

Angry

I have another very bad stealership experience...........I will never do buisness with Castrucci Ford in Milford OH, or Ricart Ford in Columbus, OH. I can't say much about the Castrucci incident, although some people i've talked to know the story, but the Ricart Ford incident was just as bad. I had obtained my own financing, and the stealership knew this ahead of time and agreed and took care of the paperwork for me. I had gotten an extremely good interest rate on the loan, and instead, they lowballed me and financed me via Banc One without my permission at an outrageous interest rate. When I called them up, they told me "Well, if we would have went via your bank, they wouldn't have paid us anything for our services while Banc One compensated us for our time"

I can't stand those bastards and they will never see my buisness ever again. Neither will those cheating scumbags at Castrucci Ford. Mike Castrucci is a liar and pulled the bait and switch on us back when my parents bought their 96 Taurus from them. I have found that the best dealership that I can trust, is John Nolan Ford in Cincinnati. Those guys have always paid attention to my needs, and were willing to accomodate me the best they could possibly do.

Nothing to do with the thread but I really like the quote in Baddogs sig!

'They that give up essential liberty
to obtain a little temporary safety
deserve neither liberty nor safety.'
- Benjamin Franklin (1759)
