TR5 Opinions

I took my truck in for the replacement intercooler today. I bought and asked them to fit the NGK TR5 plugs.
The good news is the truck is back intact but they called me stating that the TR5 plugs cause nothing but problems. They were willing to put them in but strongly advised against it.
I told them not to bother. My reason being if the truck did not run well they would probably blame the NGK plugs. So depending on the coments here I am planning on installing them myself. Thanks for any feedback.

Thumbs up

I don't know what your mods are but the NGK tr-5s are one step colder than the stock plugs and should be fine for up to a 4# pulley.IMHO Jim

Shaun at JDM told me that the tr5's are the same heat range as stock. They are ok if you are running up to an additional 2 pounds of boost. the tr6's are colder. that is what I have since I am running a four pound lower pulley.
