I have been reading this site for a long time but rarely post. It seems to me it is time for me to start modding my truck. It is an everyday driver with 40,000 miles on it.

I have been searching and reading trying to decide what chip I want. It seems to me that they are all good but some may have advantages over others and vice versa. So I guess what I am asking is if anyone coould tell me the low down on each of the tuners chips? Not trying to start a tuner war just want the chip facts. Please do not respond if you are going to bash any of the tuners. Thanks for all the help.

The only mods. I have done are Borla cat back and home made ram air.

JDM's will make your truck faster
JL's will make your truck faster
PSP's will make your truck faster

no, i think what he is saying is, they are all good, and no one here is gonna talk bad about any of them. they all know what their doing and any one of them can make your truck faster, plus they know these Lightnings like the back of their hands. the best advice i can give is to keep reading and see who runs fast times and see what mods that person uses and go from there. for some people, they choose the tuner they live closest too and can go there in person and get friendly and stuff like that. not flaming you, but it is kind of stupid to come here and ask who the best tuner is. no one is gonna answer that question and possibly start a tuner war all over again. Obviously you did not read my thread or you just do not understand what I was asking. All I wanted to know if there is any difference in any of the chips. Soap thanks for the response and camaro guy maybe you need to understand what you read before you comment and call people stupid. You have know idea who I am or what I know.

 

What I want to know, is will the ECU remember some chips and not others. For instance, I -heard- it will not remember a superchip, but it will remember some of the other popular ones.

Any truth to this? Basically, can any chip be yanked and the battery be reset and the dealer be none-the-wiser?

All the dealer has to do is look at the pins on the PCM
and they can TELL you were running chipped. Maybe
that alone is enough to void your warranty at some dealers.

 

you came here and asked a question that was stupid and it was the type of question that you could of used the search feature and came up with weeks worth of reading. i understood your post perfectly, but you must of missed where i wrote that i wasnt flaming you. plus i didnt call u stupid, i said its stupid to come here and ask that type of question.
