Want smooth side and end steps?
Ok, I’m gonna throw this out. I was wondering how many people would be interested in smooth lower tailgate trim, smooth steps, and smooth rear steps?
I was going to start doing mine because I want to do the Lund roll pan and it would look real sharp to have every thing painted to match.
I will start to do mine here with in the next few weeks.
This will all be sanding and primer type work, no cheating!
I would like to know on how many owners would like theirs done.
First I will do mine and post pics of them in primer. Painted a little later.
What do yeah think?

Well i just ordered the smooth side steps but i would be interested in the rear bumper plastic pieces smooth and painted. I dont really like the look of a roll pan and like the stock bumper better but i would be interested in the back plastic smooth and panited to match.

These are actually made of fiberglass. I've got a set of carbon fiber one's coming with the ribs removed. I'll post a picture of them when I get them.
Oh, I almost forgot.
You can remove the ribs from the front steps, but the rear steps & corners are molded. What I mean by that is, if you take the rib down flat, you will go through the step and have a hole.
The front steps are thicker and you will have a flat surface when taken down smooth.

Not to question Rich's advice or anything (im sure he's right) but, I did see a guy with a black L on here like a month ago with the back pieces nicely smoothed out. The ribs were completely gone and I believe it was the same rollpan as Easterisland's. I will try to do a search, he listed the steps he took to make them also. He was the guy with the multi colored plugs mounted on the rollpan...he said it was for some kind of racing? got me...
