Lightning w/ 4k on it and foglight already cracked but it almost looks like a crack from the inside. Could something like this be covered under warranty or am I going to be getting the 17.95 replacement in the lower thread?

 

Most everybody has, had or will have this problem. When I had my 2002 they started at about 18 hundred miles. They never seemed to get so bad that they damaged the outside but they looked like crap. My lights never failed to function.

Dealer should replace under warr. but it will happend again. I have heard of some dealers not wanting to replace but my would have but pretty much said that it would happen again.

Yeah the crack looks like it's on the inside and the light works fine. I'll be taking the truck in for some warranty work it looks like.

It's from heat. Both of mine are cracked at 2,000 miles and a month old. My dealer refused to replace them. Don't buy at Mullinax Ford in Apopka, FL. I found another dealer that agrees it is a problem and will replace them under warranty. You may have to look around.

just had mine replaced while I waited(20 min) under warranty,told them water was getting in and blowing blubs,no questions asked
