Shaker Hood... install and price

Alright... I saw RobG's truck in MM&FF, and I decided that I -need- a shaker hood. Heh.
A couple questions:
1. Is the intake functional?
2. Would this void any waranties?
3. How much does it cost installed.

Thanks

The scoop is functional. It directs air over to the intake. I don't think it would void any warranties seeing how it doesn't have anything to do with the engine, powertrain, or what not. And I have no idea how much a shop would chage for the install.

I just checked into that..

Here is a phone number..These guys do it.

-It cost 849.00 + shipping approx 75 to 90.00

Their kit feeds air to an open element cone filter..not included.
You have to have it installed and painted.

260-343-9826

They have a website..But I cant remember the link..I think I searched this site for Shaker hood..and found it..

I got mine painted for $450 from my buddy and installed it myself, piece of cake.

Me and RobG got some sweet pics of our L's at FFW Norwalk maybe he will post them when he gets home.

You knew I was responding to this thread.
JDM had the cheapest prices $675 delivered. I got it on a group buy but it is worth a phone call 1-732-780-0770.
$500 for the hood and the wiper cowl painted. When it comes to paint I do not want a 60 ft.job(Hey,your paint looks nice from 60 ft. away).
Here ya go
