Need Your Help ..Please...

Ok went to t he track last week and it was a little hot , i got there they called my line up and the truck didnt have time to cool down so i ran a 14 flat .(worst time ever , ever in the whole world..) ...... dam...... but i said conditions were bad and i told my self eveything will be O.K. next pass 13. 70 . Just as bad as the 14 to me.. The truck ususally runs 13.40 to 13.50 it is bone stock... Now Last night i went to Cecil county with a buddy who has a 2002 stock Lightning as i do. We normally run side by side, who ever catches the best light wins.. Conditions were really good. Our first run i got him off the line half way down the track i looked to my right and he came by me and blew me away, i was shocked he ran a 13.37(his personal best) i ran a 13.67... my next pass was a 13.70 a little over 100 mph..???? He ran a 13.43 .. Whats going on, I have about 8k on it and im running a few tenths slower.. WERE SHOULD I START TO FIND OUT WHATS GOING ON... HELP!!!!!!!!

Blown93,
I'd have to remind you that "all trucks are NOT created equal". Some will be a little stronger than others.. Also I have found that the lanes on the track are different. I always have better times on one of them and try to stick with that one..JR

Since you seem to have prior experience racing your friend's truck, I'd say you have a legitimate concern. Two things come to mind, check the spark plugs, might as well replace them, and check the computer for codes.

My truck ran 3/10ths off what it should because of a stored code for a bad o2 sensor....so check for codes, even if your not getting a check engine light.
