pulley causing breakdowns??

Word is the ASP pulleys are causing motor break downs. Look at buying a pulley from another vendor. I have heard of two cases back to back on tearing up blowers, and causing motor damage. Just a warning.... Good luck

From an NLOC thread. How can this happen? Anyone else know of anything? I know a couple tuners use ASP or similar design. Is this B/S? Other than the obvious ways it can cause damage-just by it's nature-increasing boost- what else can it do? I assume it's a lower they're refering to.

Sounds like BS to me. Sounds like someone heard some crap from a little birdy and decided to spread it around.
My guess is it's related to the caged vs. uncaged debate.
