acetoned emblems???

acetoned emblems???

I just had a quick ? for u guys...Did u carefully do it while the emblems were on the truck or did u take them off?? If so what is the easiest way to get them off??

i did mine with them on. just put masking tape around the emblem to limit the amount of acetone on the paint.

i did not mask off anything, and it did not hurt the paint at all. Just try not to get it ALL over the paint.

Crazy foo those emblems are only acetoned?? They are DAMM shiny

I did it with them on also. Easiest way i think is take a wash cloth, get a good amount of acetone on the rag and wipe the emblem done good. that will loosen the black. then turn the rag over and soak it again and rub again. and do this till its lookin close to done. Use q-tips to get all the cracks, edges and any spots you miss. If you get it on the paint, take a clean rag and put a little acetone on it and wipe it off you paint then just use a little soapy water to wipe over the spot. This is what i did and it worked great. took me 30min to do them all (both lightnings and svt f150).
