Acceleration competition....

That sounds dangerous. Getting a felony conviction (2 times in 5 years) for hitting the gas pedal to hard? very not cool.

Time for Tampa, Bulldog, His Nozebleedness, TZ, Twisted, et. al. to retain full-time legal counsel, or something

But this is just what I think....

We can all thank the ricers for this one...........plus, one of the local news channels took a hidden camera to the most popular race hangout, and showed a week-long setment on street racing...........guess what you saw the most.........of course you guessed it.........lots of neon, lots of body kits, wings, exhausts (insert your favorite rice mod here)............

Oh well..................I have calmed down a lot in my driving habits, although the trigger foot is always awake at a stoplight, so long as it is empty, clear, and safe, and worthy opponent, but I do avoid 99.9% of encounters......It is scary you know.......it's just a shame the track is so far away

I don't have a problem with it as I don't usually race on the streets.... We have enough old people (blue hairs) down here that make ordinary daily driving an adventure.

With any law, it leaves a whole lot of room for interpretation. It is only as good as the cops/attorneys that are enforcing it. Also, the perpretrators will have huge stakes and will have to seek competent legal council to fight.

You will see a lot of taxpayers money wasted on trying to convict people. There will probably be some trial$$$ due to the severity.

Kind of like the new CA law (AB 1058) that is before our illustrious governer Gay Davis. It gives the CARB unprecedented power to regulate car buying and driving. The Supreme court will get this one.
