How to read a JDM flip chip label?
How to read a JDM flip chip label?
Guys,
Just got my flip chip back from JDM and not sure which side is which. If the label reads "CUX2 90SF E2F", does it means side I = 90SF and side II = E2F? Or is it the other way around?

The 90SF is the program that is on the chip for whatever you asked for per your mods. This you will have to talk to Jim about.
Side one is generally always the street side and side two is race or agressive street or whatever you asked for.
Best thing to do is call and ask Jim.
Are you aware that Jim and crew will be in Austin Sept 16th & 17th to install mods and tuning? Contact Travis at tcaka@houston.rr.com for more information.

What kind of "documentation" do you want? I send out detailed instructions with my chips, which also tells you what programs are on it, based on switch posistion, be it a dual or 4 way.
As for what mods the chip is burned for, the owner should know that as he is the one who ordered the chip
. Since I make every program per vehicle, I require all the info on the truck. If you don't know it, you don't get a chip

I think it is standard that all chips come with installation instructions and what programs are on which side...

Hmmmm ... I didn't think you did superchips Sal .... <wink>
What I found interesting is that the same issues come up
time after time, and nothing is seen to be advancing ...
No resolutions, no changes ...
Oh well ... It's not my business that is getting the bad rep ...
Hope Doug working there will help correct some of the issues.

Thanks for the replies guys. I will give Jim a call as soon as I can get to a phone during their business hours.
Sal - yes, I know what I ordered on the chip. But as easterisland said, it would be nice to have a slip of paper describing the modifications just so I can confirm everything is accounted for. I can understand tuners not wanting to tell the world exactly what is on a chip in order to preserve their advantages. But it would be nice to receive a "packing slip" of some sort for the chip.
