Just went 200 mph in my L !!!

This is just as believable as some of the posts I read about some quarter mile times. I am not ashamed of my times and print them as I run them. I lean on you guys for accurate info. and trust a great deal of you regular users, but on occasion I read about a truck that ran 12's stock. I know that is not going to happen.
For those of you who are telling your times accuratly THANK YOU and I know who you are because your ET's and MPH MAKE SENSE

Good luck and good racing

I agree with you and I don't think many people here would believe that any Gen 2 ever ran 12s stock. I know I've never seen anyone on this board claim that. If they did, they'd get laughed off the internet for sure.

12 second stock

You don't think that 12 seconds in stock form is possible? What about with traction bars and slicks? What if you take the tailgate off, the passenger seat out, and the anti-roll bar off? I think some of the people runnin 13.2's - 13.3's should be able to attempt 12's. Be it 12.99 that still would be sweet to say your truck ran 12's with a stock engine. Anyone else think so?

I ran 11.xx bone stock with a full tank of fuel. I just happened to be driving off Fancy Gap on about a 5% grade. That's not really the point though. G-Tech rules.

...........now that i think about it, it wouldn't be stock would it. I guess what i was thinking was that at the end of the day after you have it all back together you have a 12 second slip to show for it and all without poppin the hood.

Yep. Don't get me wrong.. still turning a 12.99 with just weight removal and slicks WOULD still be impressive, and to my knowledge, that feat has not been acomplished either.

But stock means as you bought it from Ford, nothing changed. Taking off weight and bolting on slicks is no different that plugging in a chip (which you can also do without opening the hood). Both make the vehicle faster by altering it from it's original state.

Read MM&FF magazine much? You'd be suprized what they can do with a "stock" FORD car.

Andy G, I hope that's a GOOD thing .

Firefighter, thanks much. I always try my best, on and off the track.

LightningTruck, I know exactly what you mean.

Rollin, I've done the "pull everything" deal on my 99, but not on the 01. I'm too fat to be trying to match the race weight of some other trucks . I pulled the spare and hitch off, just because there is no reason for them, and pulled the front sway bar off for better weight transfer. I also have a rollpan, and light rims. However, I've added a 50lb hood (stock is 18) and a roll cage (gotta be 75-100lbs there). I also run the bed cover, Bedrug, and tailgate. I don't pull the seat, and I don't have lightweight seats or the center seat conversion.

Last time I weighed the truck is was about 4850 with me in it. I like to turn ETs with power, not by stripping the truck down to 4200lbs. Sure I could probably go faster if I yanked some weight, but my customers are not going to strip thier trucks down to nothing, so why should I if I'm selling the same parts to them.
