Any Opinions on lowering the Lightning

Hi All,

Any Opinions on lowering the rear of the Lightning a bit ???
I got a Black 02 with 3k on it and a few goodies so far. I'm assuming lowering the back a bit would help launch it, but I'm concerned on what it'll do for shock travel and ride characteristics.
Any opinions ???

lowering...

Captain Oblivious has an AWESOME page:

http://captainoblivious.tripod.com/l.../lowering.html

From personal experience, I just used the Hotchkis springs/bars/QA1 shocks to lower about 2" in back and about 1" in front as well as the addition of a panhard bar from ruslow.

Handling is AMAZINGLY better. Ride is slightly rougher, but nothing very noticable (20" wheels made a much bigger change is general ride quality.)

I haven't bottomed out and I'm reasonably aggressive about speed bumps etc.

Thumbs up Belltech 3/4 kit

I am very impressed with reduction in body lean and increase in traction. Ride does not get significantly rougher.

If you lower and install new shocks...it should improve the ride and handling depending on your preference.
