I too have the "Cowl" hood, although its not really inducting anything! It should technically be called a "cowl vent" hood.

Why isn't it inducting anything? It should be. I remember reading that that area by the cowl is a low pressure area when driving and the air gets sucked in there. Thats why its called cowl "induction" Does that sound right to anybody???

Nice Truck by the way . But when i said cowl vent i meant the screen that cover the vent holes at the back of the hood and under the hood. Dont think we are talking about the same thing. As for what Bruce said i think hes getting something custom done like Sal did at least thats what i think. We will find out he answers this.

I was thinking thats what you were talking about. Where did you get yours from? Maybe you found someplace with cheaper shipping. Its like 80 bucks shipping and the cowl is only like 90-100 bucks .

If it was a source of frsh air to the intake track, then it would be considered a true "cowl induction" This word originated from the 69 Chevelles and camaros. When you floored the throttle a vacuum operated solenoid opened a flap in the rear of the hood (cowl area) that allowed fresh air to enter the air cleaner on top of the intake for a added rush of air.It really originated on the 67 Z/28 , though it was never "advertized" as a badge on the later models.I always loved it..then and now!

Thumbs up

Wow that sounds great. Any pics of it before and after its installed. From what VINNIE told me the SS wiper cowl is ***** and takes a lot of prep to install. He said that his body shop guy almost charged him as much for that to install as his shaker hood. Where did you order from a website, any pics on there,??
Any info would be great.
Thanks

Here is where i ordered the super charged tags from www.mustangparts.com They have just about every emblem you can think of. The other place where i ordered the cowl induction emblems from was www.cincinnaticomposites.com They also have a supercharged emblem that looks different then the one i have now. If you have the new MM and FF with Rob G's truck on the cover www.mustangparts.com's ad is on page 95 and www.cincinnaticomposites.com's ad is on page 97.

Heres a pic from mustang parts website to give you idea of what they have.

Yea, I have a 10lb lower and 1.5lb upper. My motor has been upgraded, so it's not so bad.
