Question What kind of mufflers are in between Bassani and stock???bassani is too loud, now.

ok i wanna start off by saying i absolutely love my bassani exhaust with the long tubes the sound is just incredible. i have had bassanis for over 2 years now and im looking to quieten down the beast a little bit. have any of you tried different mufflers? i want a good flowing muffler but i want it have some noise especially when i mash on it but i am tired of riding long distances with bassani. its ok for me but my passengers catch he#$. if anyone knows a set of mufflers that will fit directly in the replacement of my bassani that isnt quiet as loud i want something different. if you could supply me with a part number and place to order i would greatly appreciate it, also if u could rate on a scale of 1-10 the loudness i would appreciate that too. i rate my bassani and longtubes a 8 a 10 would be bassani long tubes and no cats WOW that was loud!!! thanks guys.

Not too loud just a tad louder than the single Magnaflow, but still quieter than Bassani.

Still not sure why they called the Bassani mufflers "Quiet Thunder Mufflers"

actually, i'd recomend just going with the stock cat bak again since you already have long tubes, if you've kept the stock setup, i'd put that back on with some after market tips probably from LFP or so. I haven't heard it, but I do know someone in the area that had done it, and it'd be the cheapest best sounding way to do it in my book.

Why don't you try to sound proof the cabin of your truck? This should reduce the noise level a bit.

What I need is to soundproof the local cop cars!

Question

Who is this 'rusty' kid?

Hey homeboy, where ya been?

I think JDM's two Silver Bullets + X-pipe would be a tad quieter than your Basanni. For an even quieter sound but still a good sound, go with JDM's single Magnaflow(14568) with its internal x-pipe--which is what I have.

I thought you'd moved up nawth and opened up a florist store or somthin'?

How does that sound? I've had a Borla cat-back on my Mustang for several years, and I love the sound and quality of it. I haven't heard many people on here mention Borla before.

Hey Rusty

You might want to look at JDM's twin Magnaflow setup with the High Flow Cats. I have it with the headers and it sounds great. It is fairly quiet during normal cruising, but has a nasty growl when you get on it.
