True!!! And its ugly as hell to boot. It does have a sweet interior though. Definately not worth 50 large IMO.

Have you been living in a cave for the past year? No I'm j/k yeah this subject has been talked to death. I'm not sure anyone on this forum wants to talk about the Viper truck anymore. A lot of people hate that thing on this site so I'm not sure it's worth bringing up again. It is in a different class than the L so I wouldn't compare the 2. The Viper truck is going to be way more than the L so you can't really compare them. But hey it will be the fastest production truck on the market if they do make them. If they make them there will be no way they will be as popular as the L. They will be rare and probaly be in very limited production. Man, I'm tired of hearing about that thing. I hope they do make them, then Ford will make the Gen. 3 L's even better. It's about time for the Lightning to have some competition, if you want to call the Viper truck that.

My answer to those questioning the"de-throning" of the lightning is: The production truck may be a bit quicker, but with I could put some of the 18K difference into my truck and it will whup any truck (or Viper) and still have a bunch of money left over. Plus I do believe the fuel mileage may offset the operating costs even more. Oh yea, about that stick shift......

or get a new Z06 for $46k (plenty available at that price if you shop) and use the extra $4000 for a small aluminum trailer for track tires and tools, painted to match.

Yes, there's been a lot of talk about the dodge truck and the 2003/4/5/6/7/8... Lightning. None of them exist yet.

Spike,

Do you happen to know of any dealers in SoCal with the Z06's going for $46K? I may have to go north or out of state to get a good deal...

I've checked with about 6 dealers so far, and my best offer was $47895, but it had some pimped out chrome package the dealer added

Thanks!

Jason

That's a good deal for California, even it's been pimped out. Contact Rick Daniels at rickd770@bellsouth.net . He's out of state and has good deals every now and then, especially when including the factory incentives. His web site is http://www.corvettesbyrickdaniel.com/ . There are several other dealers that post at http://www.z06vette.com/forums/index.php .
