Anyone Ever Do This...
ever take your air filter out and drive around to see if u feel a difference? i did it today to my SS, and i swear i felt a big difference, definitely sounded different too, you can hear more intake noise. i have a 97 Camaro SS, lt1, its the one with the ram air that is actually functional, not the ls1. i took off the top plastic piece and the filter out and drove it for about a half hour. when i got home, i didnt wanna put it back in, i felt as if i was taking off one of my mods! LOL i wonder how bad it is for the motor to drive around with no air filter at all? Mike
P.S. i have no screen inside the air flow meter, that got yanked out a long time ago, so there is nothing to stop dirt from entering motor.

!!CHEVY!!
I have a 30th Anneversary Camaro ss too!! I love that car, It blows my sisters 1999 Z28 out of the water off the line. I`ve done the air filter thing too, I noticed a huge difference as well, it improved my 1/4 by over 1/2 second, and it increased my 0-60 by .3 seconds.
Tried on my lightning and did not notice a huge difference.

you mean this one----------
Its bad enough we have to worry about engine parts creating holes in the block. I'm not taking any chances on crap getting sucked in the intake.

Only do it at the drag strip (or right after it rains)
