Just installed Lotek "Redesigned" 2 gauge pillar
Just got done installing loteks redesigned 2 gauge pillar. its the new one that rkkustoms sells that is held by 2 screws. Install was VERY simple and straight forward. It fits great and is held on very secure unlike the old ones ive heard about. Simply test fit and mark the 2 holes, drill into the metal pillar and then mount the pillar and screw it down. screws are covered by grey colored caps which you dont even notice. i put in autometer phantom boost and air fuel gauges. Found the 7/64th rubber tee fitting at autozone, pulled the stock hard plastic lines off the stock rubber fittings and connected them to the new tee and then put the clear boost line in the other side. Simple. Airfuel was also very easy with only power ground and the o2 wire which i ran through the tranny linkage rubber gromet in the firewall so i didnt have to drill a hole and what'ya know, the o2 wire is right there. its the black one on the plug. just tap into that one. Simple again! then just clean any thing up that hangs or is in the way and wam your done. A tip, the black hard plastic stock boost lines are tough to slide in the new tee, if you just dab your finger in some dish washing soap and rub it on the tips(just lightly coated), it slides right on....Anyways, they work great and took me total of maybe an hour and half and im VERY **** about the way i install my mods, so could be done quicker. BTW, im very happy with RKkustoms. I got my gauge pod 4 days after i ordered, id highly recomend them.
sorry, no pics, i need to get my digi camera to work. ive had my L 2 months and have now the lotek pod and gauges, anderson ford motorsports power pipe and filter, jdm silver bullet exhaust, billet grills, lighted rear ford logo, belltech 3/4 drop and black powder coated stock wheels with a polished lip. I would like to get some pictures up, ill see if i can do that today.
