Im wondering if anyone knows where i can find more info on the

passenger seat mod the one to make the expy center console fit

(I.e. what parts i will need and so on) also if you live in the st

pete clearwater area and have done this mod if you could tell me

where you got it done (If they did a good job)

Does the new style Expy console only come in tan? that is all i

see on the lmw site. i will try and order through ford a friend

What is involved to modify the passenger seat??

 

From what i can tell its 3 Assembly pieces

F65Z-1561709-CAJ (support assembly)
YL3Z-1563100-BB (Spring assembly)
YL3Z-15603A86-BAA (Handle assembly)

and having your seat cover cut at the seam then your seat padding cut flat to the left hand side and seat cover stitched back together to match the drivers side "bucket" it doesnt seem to be that big of a project i just dont know how long they will have my truck for *i can't walk everywhere =\ *

I had a shop do a HD foam on my Ram.
I took out the seat and dropped it off.

You could do the same with the pass seat, b/c you are changing the braket anyway.

Ask if they would mind, my guess is it is easier for them to take off the cover to sew it when it is out of the truck, rather then trying to take the cover off with the seat installed.

About that pass problem, when the shop has the seat....hhhmmm maybe a milk crate <g>

 

Can anyone tell me what vehicle the seat assembly is from? Thinking about scrounging around the salvage yards for a console and figured I could look for the seat assembly at the same time.

 

Another question for you all does anyone know where in this area it is possible to get an Expy center console besides lmw and ford? Also are there grey center consoles for the 2002 models or are they ALL tan ??

Do a search for Ken Rudnicky here and on the other F150 sites. He can get the Expy. consoles like LWM.

Fred only took a few hours to do my seat. It's not something that you'd have to leave your truck for.
