I just got back from my friends house and he has a 70 rs with a 502z502. Well we went out to get some fireworks to celebrate the fourth and a little honda civc comes roaring behind us. While at the stop light we exchange engine tones and melt the rear meat a little. The it turns green we must have had 5-6 lenghs on this guy. Then as we are driving away he comes up beside us and says that he got a bad start. Well we were going at least 40 or so and we take of. To my amazement we spin the tires at 40 and eat him for lunch again. Not turning into a chevy guy or anything i just thouht it was funny. Ford forever!

 

Yeah... Im a Ford man. The rest of my family are a bunch of Chevy POS's! Anyhow, my bro has a 70 Chevelle SS, currently with a 396 in it. Hes restoring the car, and plans on dropping a 502 in it. Its gonna be a beast. Those 502's are quite an engine.

There was an ss 454 at cyberbrawl a couple of years back with a brand new 502 in it.
His first run down the 1320,he broke one side of his axle and still ran a 12.1.
This was on a very hot and humid day at River Bend race way on a not so great hooking day.
Makes you wonder what that gen 2 with a 514 would run...my guess is high 11's on n/a motor.
