Dyno Numbers from this Weekend @ Shootout >>>
I got to strap the 02 L on the dyno this weekend at The Modular Shootout, on Jake Lamotta's Chassis Dyno.
355/427 at the wheels.
Not bad considering the weather, and that the truck is basically stock. No pulleys. Air filter and chip. And got 16.5 mpg all the way there and back to Orlando. Cruised at 2900 rpms the majority of the way. Engine now has 3100 miles on it, in 3 weeks of ownership.
02 True Blue Lightning Dyno #s
Laters.

Can you explain how they did it. Next time just have them ride it up through the gears (this will get your torque converter to lock up sooner)...when you get to 70 stomp it (this will allow your run to show the sampling at around 3400 on up). If you're able to start around 66 then that would be even better.
I'm shocked at how you're hp at 5250 looks to be the same at 4800. Wild...man, what are you running leaner at higher rpms? Not knocking you, but most L's almost always never keep climbing above 4800. What do you think?
Also explain the two runs difference? Was one w/out the chip, or just heatsoaked 2nd run? Did you let the truck cool off completely before the 1st run?
Mind doing me a favor? Can you call Jake and have him email you your dyno .pep files from that run please! If you can I'll input them into the run viewer and compare 'em to mine then email you the .gif files of the screen shots (instead of scanning, and the quality will be MUCH better w/ a file size of no more than 15kb).
Thanks!

VenMofo, yeah, i went by RavenGT on the Corral. Good choice on new vehicle.
Bubba, not sure about the dyno techniques. I was that "moron" who stood down below and watched the car make noise! But no, to answer your questions, the run was done in "D". The runs were both with chip, and we ran the first one right after getting over to the dyno, so I would imagine it was heatsoaked. It was a really hot day on Sat. Gave it some time, did the next run. Weather conditions were about the same, a few degrees difference due to shade.
I will see if the files are available. The truck appears to be pig rich still at higher rpms, as evidenced by the continued soot from the pipes. I am really not that caught up on the workings of the Lightnings, new to this game, so I couldn't comment about the trucks ability to pull above a certain rpm.
I appreciate the help/input on the graphs, and will see what I can get in the way of files.
