Mac exhaust install tips
hey guys a few tips I think may help on the installs.
start the removal of the old stuff with the right tools, look at it and if you do not feel comfy with it save yourself the time and pleae take it to a Muffler shop, then you can sit back and have a beer and relax, buit if you must do it yourself, breakout the toolbox and the prybar, knockerloose and whatever else may help. remember it is very hot all around right now and don't overdue it.
Hey guys try this , when you go to put the hangers in the rubber , try coating the hanger and the rubber with some white lithium grease in a spray can , they should slide right in. also if you are having trouble with the tips. take a scotchbrite pad to the coating and try to slide them on like that , also make sure the tips are on before installing the kit.
here is a trick Ken Wilson from HALO sent me that he did
<snip>I finally managed to secure the rear mount by removing the chassis bracket from the truck, slipping off the rubber hanger from the bracket and installing it on the tailpipe tongue. Then all I had to do was remount the chassis bracket. Needless to say, it's very secure now. <snip>
not sure about the movement . all out there keep you eyes on it and let me know what you find out. these are huge tips
