Word of friendly advice. Go find a dyno with a air/fuel meter and make sure your Air/Fuel is dialed in properly.

I had to send my diablo chip for my old 99 L back 3 times and then dyno 3 times before I learned my lesson on dealing with a certain vendor and ebay'd the chip...

The problem with off the shelf chips is they aren't tuned to the quirks of YOUR truck. You should be fine, but just keep a sharp ear out for detonation, and definitely get an accurate A/F reading to make sure you're safe.

You'll get a big (read- very noticeable) kick out of how much a good chip changes these trucks

Sent me a street programmed "off-the-shelf" chip that runs 16:1 through 3200 at WOT and then drops straight to 9:1 through 5500rpm is what I got for my money...

Then, send it back, and it comes back 16:1 through 3200 and off-the-scale rich through 5500rpm.

Then, send it back and it comes back to do the same thing again.

Just for grins I install a buddies PSP chip and the everything responds as it should... So it wasn't anything specific to just my truck.

Just an moronic program 3 times in a row...

...but hey, that was just my experience with one particular lightning vendor, not everyone's... Take it for whatever it's worth...

Personally, if I decide to chip my new '02, it'd be a PSP or JDM chip...
