Thumbs up Misfire and seems lean on Boost

Sal,

Thanks Sal, I'm glad I didn't go to Dealer and start @#$%!in.
Still eliminating things one at a time! Now left high-flow cat from
Bassani is rattling like crazy! Will call Them on Monday and inform
of that and hope they replace both !
Say what kind of vacuum should I pull at idle ? I'm getting a
good " 21 " inch's (?) on my gauge.

Hey did your plugs look anything like mine I had a vacuum problem and I think thats what caused the destruction of the passenger side plugs. The truck just would not run at half throtle and at wide open would still pull just not as strong as it should.

before you go the Bassani and "start @#$%!in ", I'll point out that you probably melted your cats with leanness. It's not likely that it's Bassani's fault.

NCETRY,

No my plugs weren't THAT bad!! They were white on porcealin
and hook electrode had some white color too.
As far as the cats Bassani said they had trouble with the ones
like I have and will send me replacement ones and I must return
mine for credit. Should get them by Saturday and will change out
then see how she runs then?? It is running say at 95 - 97 % like
old days. Small backfire under load in third gear part thottle. Then cleans out then great.

Talking Misfire and seems lean on Boost

Yo,

Well finally seem to of got the " L " back to where it runs like
it should, and might have found the main reason it was running
so bad!! The cats in my Bassani full system broke loose inside and
must of been blocking the exit inside when I pushed 1/2 to WOT.
Called Bassani and they sent new cats as those ones I had were
having problems like that but mine were good till just after the head replacement. Also put in plugs and checked everthing I could think of and even matched all connections with another
" L " of same year! Now will run as is for a while, then catch up
with other mod's most have done since my trouble started last
July 2001.
