Hello all. Bought a mint '99 L over the weekend. Never thought driving a truck could be so much fun . Got a lot of stuff from the original owner... all receipts, timeslips, slicks, helment, etc. Pretty happy with the deal. The truck in amazing.

 

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you got some mods done to your truck. What all do you have? And what kind of times were you running?

 

Thanks. I have yet to take the truck to the track. The best timeslip from the original owner is a 12.32 @ 109. I can't claim it goes that fast though because I have yet to personally see it. According to him the run was at 70 degree temps and full weight minus the spare tire so it sounds like there is room for improvement.

As far as mods... the only thing I think it doesn't have is a power cooler and a way to block the air filter from engine heat and NO nitrous. It does have ported heads, new cam, J&E piston, Eagle rods, PCI 2800 stall, plus all the standard mods. Only 2lb upper and 2 lb lower pulley so I guess I can improve there also. Sounds like the engine can take some more boost.

I hope to get the truck in the 11s, no nitrous, on a cool fall day. Could just be dreaming but that's my goal. An 11 second truck... Holly Cow.
