Who has a Retractable Bed Cover

Have had my Triglass lid for the past year. It is heavy, a pain in the *** to remove, and limited to what I can put in the back.

When I bought it I saw this guy who had a retractable bed cover on a rail system. Looked neat. You unlock it from the real and puch it toward the cab.

Who has one, what brand, what do they run and is water able to enter the bed? Would you recommend?

Thanks

Howard

Miami L:

I have Roll 'n Lock retractable covers on both my 4x4 and L. They each cost approximately $1000.00, installed. Small amounts of water do enter the bed during rainstorms.

The idea of a retractable cover works very well for my needs. Unfortuantely, I can not recommend the Roll 'n Lock covers. Fit and finish, as well as overall quality of the product, leaves much to be desired, in my opinion.

I have been hearing some good words about another retractable cover made by Retrax.

Good Luck.

I had an electric automatic retractable cover ($1,300)on my last truck.I liked it alot but it did leak a little. It had a remote too which was very convenient.
I went with a over the rail hardtop for my L because I liked the
look and I do not carry alot with it.
I know Badass516 has a retractable top, but it is not electric.Maybe his does not leak.

Thumbs up RETRAX

Retrax bed covers are the shizznit, IMHO.

Approx $900

One more item to Zaino..

As for H2O, it can enter the bed due to the rake of the truck (ie: laser car wash). However, I rigged a couple of fittings and some clear tubing on either side of the cannister and poked holes though the gromets between the bed and cab. Works great.

Speedin Bob,

Does the retrax system leak? I see you have a bed rug..it must mean no.

I don't have a cover for my L, but I do have a Roll n Lock for my ranger. It's about $800 installed and wil leak small amount during heavy rainstorms. The leak originates in the back corners only where it closes to met the tailgate. I used to have a TRX300 EX so I liked the ability to have the full bed and also a close one as well. No mechanical problems either. My .02

Howard,

with the two bleed tubes I fabbed, no leaks.

Some occassionally gets in around the tailgate during a deluge but I chose to leave off the gasket that came with the unit.
