Question Lightning Question

Alright, well heres the deal. Between October and november ill be getting my new vehicle, Which im wanting to be a lighthing, And basically i just need to know if anyone uses it mainly as a daily driver, i know alot of people race them and put crap loads of mods on it. But mainly i'll be using it as a Daily driver to go to and from work. and then to Haul my dirt bike to the track which ill put in the back of the bed. So im tring to figure out which route to go, Lightning or regular 4x4 F-150(we also get alot of snow here in MO). im leaning more twards the lightning though. Sorry for the Long and pointless post. and thanks to those who respond. Just give me your opinions!

Lightnings make great daily drivers, with mods are without, although any veichle with performance tires are going to suck in the snow.

My stock '99 L is a fine daily driver; did great in the winter, actually, using Toyo Proxes S/T tires. They fit the OEM 18" wheels, yet offer M+S (mud & snow) performance.

IMHO - The only downside to the Toyo tires is you drop down to a V (149 mph) speed rating from Z (149 +). The speed factor is negligible, however, the handling *is* slightly affected. If you're willing to trade a bit of lateral g performance for longer tire life and year-round use, try a Lightning with the Toyo tires. I've been satisfied with them. I also think their tread pattern and sidewall graphics look fantastic. Nice shoes for the L.

When the L worked I drove it almost every day. Granted, I dont get snow where I live(bay area), but it still did ok in the rain. Just dont go crazy, the tires will spin when the ground is wet. Besides the wet traction, which really is not THAT bad, its a good daily driver.

Have you driven an L yet? You probably haven't or you wouldn't be asking these questions.

Get the Lightning, or you'll regret it for the rest of your life. There will always be time for a 4x4 someday.

Jay,

WOW, talk about a grin on a face!!! You just single-handedly made my day! Thanks bud. And, by the way, that pic is enhanced slightly with spotlights.

Here's the Photoshopped version that you've seen before.
