After months of work and wait the Lightning is finnally back together and running. Feels real strong can't wait till its broke in so I can throw on the big pulley. I only have one problem and maybe a tunner can help me. My boost gauge does not work right now. It will only show vacume up till the 0 line and thats at full throtle and I know its making boost. I have cheked the vacume lines several times but no luck other than that every thing is working right, hope to have some time slips in a week or two.

I forgot to say I also put in a custom set of Total Seal rings with a gapless top rings. They say they will make more vacume than stock rings could this be my problem.

 

NCETRY, you probably won't see any vacuum increase on the factory gauge. It's a small amount. You will probably not see a large decrease in boost as the engine gets older. Those rings do work well.

I'll never build another engine w/o them. Over a long period of time, you don't get large amount of leakdown due to ring wear.

the rings are awsome do you run the gapless top or 2nd ring. They had to make me the gapless top rings kind of spendy around $25 a ring for the tops.
