Where to get the new Hoosiers?

I see a bunch of people are buying the new Hoosiers, 28x14.5x16, but where are you all getting them from? Can't seem to find anyone on the net that is listing that size. Thanks, Jeff

Really? I thought Jim only sold the 15in wheels, or at least that's the only wheels advertised on his web site. Obviously he must sell them since you have a pair, I will give him a call. What style of wheels do you have? I was thinking of getting the ARE Baja's for about $300 a pair and then figured the tires should be about $360 a pair.

Ohh, the frustration continues to build!! The sites you all posted have other tread widths but apparently not the new 28x14.5x16 or part #18158 (as I have been told). See my frustration?!?! Thanks though. Jeff

Jacg,

Just a sugestion but consider your mods if you want to go that wide, The 10.5" wide work good for me. Maybe check with JDM.

Thanks all, I think I will check with JDM tomorrow. Unfortunatly, I have so many mods that I can't floor it below 35mph without totally spinning out. I am litterally slower now than before the mods because of wheel spin. I have Chip/filter, 4lb pulley, Longtube headers & catback, 4.10s, and 90mm mass air. At first impression, it just seems that $800 for wheels and slicks is a lot of money. But when you piece them individually and then put them all together, plus shipping and labor, the price is just about right. Plus, JDM takes all the guess work out of it and apparently will even mount the tires for you. I guess thats why most of my mods are from JDM. I just like to know what I am getting.

Jegs and Summit both have them on backorder with no expected time for getting more.

Call Hoosier directly. They will ship straight to your door.

Jagc,

With the 4.10s and the 29.5X10.5X15 Hoosier Radial Slicks I have an effective ratio of 3.99 and about 5200 through the traps.

The Taller Tire is better for Traction IMO.

99% of my slips have a 1.70 60 ft time since I started using these.

reality1, I think the taller tires would work great except that I would prefer to stay with the 16in rim if possible so I don't have to shave the calipers. I'm over in Germany for one more year and don't know where any machine shops are located at.
