The MAC is on !!!

Oh man, this is a sweet sounding exhaust! The tips look badass! The thing went on easy as pie! Walker887 is the hook-up! $price edited out to save thread + shipping to your location!

My bud is bringing his digital video camera to work tomorrow, so I'll post pics and vids w/ sound about mid-day.

Until then, here's a few notes on the install:

1) The biggest pain in the **** was getting the stock chit off. The two muffler inlets are clamped over the tailpipes coming back from the cats. One was clamped firmly from the factory, but the other must've been tightened down by Shrek or some other monster, 'cause the pipe was crimped at the clamp line. We had to actually cut two slits in the inlet and pull the metal back to get it off. That took 2/3 of the whole install time.

2) The pipes coming in from the cats had to be squeezed closer together (about 1/4 inch) to mate up to the new muffler. This was a bit of a bitch since there's an assembly right there that holds the two pipes together (and keeps you from closing the gap). We cut the bolt off. That may be the hack way to do it, but it's not like those pipes are coming apart right there at the muffler anyway.

3) The tips were a prefect, and simple fit. You can position them in the center of the side skirt hole, then clamp them down, adjust if necessary. They look soooo good!

4) The whole deal was done in around 2 hours, and would've been much less without the problems with removal of the stock equipment.

Well, pics and vids to follow.....

Glad you like it Todd, MAC had told me the delay was with the tips. They wanted the Lightning owners to have the best tips they could get.

Walker or Madhouse, how does it sound at idle? Can you actually hear it? That's the only thing about my Magnaflow I don't like. Until you get up to 2k rpms does it start sounding good.

JR's getting a catback , you will be the Northwest man .

Todd you are the man , I would have to say though if it was me , I would still be stuck under the truck.
