Exclamation Your L could have paint problem from the factory; better check.

Recently I caught somone's lost hubcap and scratched my front bumper (very angry, two small scratches). So I have my paint shop friend look at the scratches and while he's down by my bumper he asks "how **** do you want to be... because I see something."

He discovered around the headlights, there is a white plastic that runs around them. well if you look between the plastic on the top outside edge (near the 1/4 panel) you'll notice that the plastic has been pushed into the 1/4 panel and taken off about an inch of paint, that is about 1/8-/16th of an inch wide off of the 1/4 panel on each side. This is deep in the crack ( I found old wax in there while I was looking too)

I don't know how worried I am. He told me it won't peel and he could see primer underneath it so no rust. He said where it is located it is not clearcoated and they would probably just do "touch up" to fix it. He figured that in the factory when the truck was being put together that the headlight/grill assembly got pushed into the truck and tightened down causing it to make one scratch on each side.

Does anyone else have this, and does anyone think this is something I should take in for warranty work?
