Electric fan question
Electric fan question
My '01 L has the JDM electric fan kit. It also has the optional toggle switch under the hood.
I just went for my first cruise around town and the fan seemed to be on a lot when sitting in traffic. The temperature is pretty cool here in NJ today, so I just wanted to make sure that's ok.
Also, I did a quick hot-lap on RT 1 and pulled in the garage right afterwards. The fan was on. I turned the truck off while it was still on rather than sit at idle and wait for it to turn off before shutting off the engine. That ok? Or should I wait for the fan to do it's thing cooling the intercooler and then shut off the engine?
Thanks in advance...

Dan,
You should be fine. Your fan probably also has the a/c option. The a/c option kicks the fan on every time the a/c pump runs. If your heating controls are anywhere but in the off or vent position the e-fan will kick on. No problem turning the truck off with the fan running.
