Noise from bell housing ??

My brother phoned me from Virginia, saying his 01 l has a rattling/jingling sound coming from the bell housing(tq. converter) area. He has a modified L with a Precision torque converter installed about 3 Months ago. He's thinking a front thrust bearing problem. Any ideas from the tranny experts???

I had a ratteling from my torque converter.
I had a stock converter with a chip and my Trans went, they never checked the converter, and while I was down there checking some other things, it sounded like a piece of metal bouncing around in there or one of the vanes loose, changed to a pi converter and that noise disappeared..

Yea, but he already has the P.I. in there. He doesn't abuse the truck so I'm thinking something else. Anybody?

Just maybe, a mounting bolt/nut from the torque convertor came loose. Stranger things have happened. Remember Don's Bolt missing the mounting nuts off the tranny mount?
