Thumbs down Nope, and nope.

That is not an M166, that's a 6-71 or 8-71.

And it does not make 1200hp on 91 octane.

But it LOOKS gnarly!

Truckn, I'm pretty sure his remark about the m166 was meant to be ironic and humorous being the controversy that has surrounded it.

You guys should take a closer look at those pictures - the intake doesn't even come close to aligning with the ports on that head...you had most of us fooled. Hey if it says 1200 HP on the cam cover, it must be true! And on 91 octane gas eh? LOL!

I guess it needs 1200R stickers for the cam covers ? I never thought it could make 1200hp. as there is no ignition system on it.

i want to change my statement about it making 1200hp on 91 octane to it does make 1200hp but im not sure with which gas. i didnt really ask the guy much about the engine as i was too excited to see my truck. the reason i said it makes 1200hp on 91 is because this engine use to be in his hotrod and he drove his hotrod more then just to races and all thats available in cali is 91 octane. all I can tell you is that it is a 5.4, it has cobra heads, one fat blower, and it does make 1200hp when its setup correctly. like i said before, ill ask more questions about it when i go up again. sorry if i gave anyone the wrong idea.

Actually you mean "I'm TOLD it makes 1200 hp when set up correctly." I'm sure the guy did say it makes that much. He certainly hopes it does, and he may even be foolish enough to think it does. But even a 10-71 (which that huffer most definitely is not) can't make that much horsepower. No how no way.

More pics of it:
