A funny thing happened today. This red truck was for sale, so I decided to check it out. SVT-F150 Lightning early model just what I have been looking for. $ 5000.00 not bad. Then the owner tells me its not a real Lightning! Fooled me. Is there anyway to tell besides on the title? And I know thay made 92 and 94 but never heard of 93 model. Did thay make one that year? Lightning want-a-be. Everybody wants to be a Lightning! My wife will kill me but I'm getting one.It looks great a black Lightning pulling a black Lightning to the races!

 

They made Gen 1s from 93-95. Easiest way to tell is the 8th digit of the VIN will be an R.
