I don't know if any of you remember when I said that there was a guy with a silver L in town that needed to be taught a lesson... but this is the guy... the WS6 is my friend, and I just happened to be the girl with him. Anyway, we saw the Lightning and I was taunting him that he couldn't beat the L (btw, poolshark used to post over here... for a long time he wanted a L too, and he has tons of respect for them), so he was like 'that's it, I'm going for it' so they raced... he asked me who's side I was on... and it was a really hard decision... I mean, I'm loyal to the Lightning all the way, but this guy is a real jerk, so I had to stick with the t/a. Next time I'll make sure he looses, I mean, I can't have him getting too stuck up about his car, I still need to be able to beat him when I finally get my L!

who, the WS6 or the L? Not that it really matters, they are both in Brighton Just... if you are going to race the WS6, can I be in your truck?

I don't think so! It's a nice car, and I'm good friends with the driver and everything, but I'd much rather see the Lightning take him! The only reason I wanted him to win that time was becasue the L driver was a jerk. So.... Please???

 

Hmmmm......I do believe I know every Silver Lightning in Brighton. And I am pretty sure that the one in question is a good friend of mine. Was it a 2000 with 2001 taillights but older style wheels? If you know brighton well, then you have seen me. I am the silver L with the "**** star racing" windshield banner. The mods your WS6 friend described were somewhat accurate. But not totally. He had a chip, but it fried his comp, so no more chip. When he had it, it ran damn strong. Your friend with the WS6 seems to have a little attitude though. Kind of judging him before he even really met him. Im not saying he is not a jerk, but I know all the owners of silver L's in livingston county and they all seem to be really cool guys. I used to own a Black 99 Cobra conv. with white horses on each side, and guys like that always seemed to get a chip on their shoulder the second they saw me. Real men live the good life, jealous men die young of stress. chow

In an understanding defense to the mystery L...

I'm a relaxed driver in my L until I see a ws6, Z, SS, vette or rice... then I tend to make noise... with exhaust, s/c and tires

I have beaten all of the above listed in a light to light race... since they never get over 60, it's not too hard... I have NEVER gotten respect from any of the drivers of those cars... NOT ONCE... so... in my mind, they can all eat a fat... anyhow... when I got slammed by a viper (well duh! just wanted to see how close I could stay) I roled down my window at the next light to pay my repsects... he was impressed that I was no more than 3 lengths behind him the whole time... so...

fregtit- yeah, that would be him, not to say hes not a nice guy, I don't really know him, but I have talked to him before too, and he just seems to have no respect for his truck, maybe I just got the wrong impression... my friend has talked to him before too, before he had the trans am even. And I think I have seen you around, more than once too, you have a yellow jet-ski on back a lot? Beefcake- he showed him respect, told him he didn't even expect to win, told him he had a nice truck, they talked after, you should give those guys a chance... all except for the rice that is. Thats just my opinion though...

 

I do... honestly... I'ma very friendly person.. I always have my window down and head turned... I never even get a look... usually the windows stay up... maybe it's a cheesehead thing!

 

Yeah, that's me. Silver sea-doo XP with some yellow accents. Color matches the Lightning perfect. I also agree with beefcake, but he forgot crotch-rockets. We have a ton of these useless morons around here. They think they're bad cause the bike is fast. I'm like, "Dude, I could have bought like three or four of those for what this costed! I CHOSE to pay a lot more and be slower! Maybe we should compare bank accounts or stock portfolios instead of racing. What do you say cupcake!?" Thats my favorite for when they have a girl mounted on back. Besides, there's just somethin' a little too homo-erotic about these guys who live to have 500 pounds of hot steel between their legs. Compensating for a few shortcomings I'm sure. I don't include any Harley owners in this category of course.

 

Maybe I will drive up to Brighton with my L. My uncle has an 01 WS6. His is an auto. and he has not put any mods on. All he see's are my taillights. They are nice looking cars though.

frgetit- yeah, I see you around all the time, well, not all the time, but pretty often. and we definatly do have tons of crotch-rockets around, they are quite annoying also. lightning Jeff, you should come here, its always fun to have more L's around!
