How far of a run?

1/4 mile should be no prob... 1/8 would be real close, those things launch freakin hard..... One of my friends dad has one, and I've taken it around the block... the pull on launch is hard, but it lets up towards the top of 2nd... I raced him when I was stock, and so was he and I passed him pretty consistantly at about 80-85... we ran 5 times... even when I launched horrid I still caught him by 90...

With those mods, Chikn1, I would think you would walk all over him after 40mph rolls by... I have no idea what kind of gains the cam would do for those things. I would have ran him in my L, I just have chip, filter pulley plugs and tanny valve body...

Cams, larger turbo, and possibly ported heads ? Those things stock are quicker then most L's, and with those mods that should definately be well into the 12's.

I'd say race him, the outcome will be dependant if you get traction or not.

quicker 0-60 maybe... but that's about it... at GLD in WI I have seen 3 cyclone's run... all were 13.8's and above... I can only assume they were stock. I have not run myself, but saw a few filter modded L's run 13.2's and 13.3's... total stocks 13.4-13.8 so... off the line, they go, thanx to AWD, but they poop out quickly... they aren't that much lighter and have way less HP...

They feel faster because of the turbo lag... turbo cars always feel fast... driving my friends I felt like I was driving a rocket, but when we lined up, all 5 times, he consistantly got a 1/2 length on me at launch, after I hit 2nd gear I saw him him my rearview within 8 seconds...

Dunno about modded ones... just talking about my experience with stock one...

That guy is probably in the 11's. The slowest guy with claimed aftermarket turbo is a 12.25(according to link below.)

Most are going to be a good match stock for stock. In my experience anyone that claims heads, cam and turbo has more.

For example there is a guy with a Ty in my area that is deep 12's and he says he is stock. On the SyTy boards he lists his mods.

Here is a good site for some times and mods

Youre kidding right?

Are you crazy? You would waste that kid. Those things are in no way faster, We are talking about the GMC Cyclone right? Man You would spank him. Seesh, do you people even know what they are! Lots of kids drive them because they aren't that expensive, and these kids are like the kids that drive riced out HONDAS, THEY LIE THROUGH their teeth.

Me think SVTSam is a little "Extreme".

The Ty (with a decent tune) should be WELL into the 11's depending on what size turbo he put on it AND he's running race gas to yank the boost up. Pump gas and warm weather, low 12's pretty easy.

yeah, sounds like SVTSam got a little confused.

Cy/Ty's were a very limited production run, turbo v6 AWD. Depending on location anywhere in the 13's stock. With few mods well into the 12''s and dipping into the 11's. And if you can even find one for sale, they are still well over 10k for an about 11 year old vehicle (give or a take a year).

Lots of kids drive them because they aren't that expensive,
That sounds alot like the chevy extremes. New trucks with a body kit to give it a lowered appearence and decent rims, that what you're talking about?
