Stomping the go pedal

Warning: Stomping the hell out of the go pedal can cause serious injury. Torn cartilage, just got out of surgery. Must remember to NOT try to push the pedal through the floor.

The key is being so bored that you have nothing better to do than play on the Net. If you look at some of my posts around Jan & Feb you can see when my pills were kicking in!! LOL

Thanks for the well wishes guys.

Here's the scoop. I had an existing condition with my knee (some arthritis but not bad). There was one big spike that showed up on a regular xray and that spike cut through the cartilage when stomping the gas pedal.

It normally takes a twisting motion in the knee, with a lot of pressure to tear a cartilage and that might have happened in some other incident but I don't remember having such an incident and the symptoms didn't show up until after I bought the Lightning. It has steadily gotten worse and I felt a lot of pain everytime I went to the dragstrip or drove the L hard.

I haven't had a serious problem with it until I bought my L and I honestly believe that trying to push the gas pedal *through the damn floor* is what caused most of the damage.

The last time I went to the strip I had one hellofa lot of pain there and at home for the next few days. At that point I knew something had to be done, just couldn't take it anymore.

If none of this makes sense, it's because of the pain killers.

Oh, oh, got me scared now...

not sure how old you are, but I'm 54 and just got my 2002; no knee problems EVER, but now I'm worried! Ain't it hell gettin' old?

I work near the Mayo Clinic and perhaps this will go down in the annals of medical history as the first known case of "Lightning Pedal-Stomp Syndrome."

Wink

if it's any consolation, i've come down with what has been diagnosed as "strainius phuquetardius", a condition that affects, the pootietanger age group. in the quest for more hp, the pootietanger will most always think that his brute strength, is what he feels is breaking the locked pulley loose, when in fact, it is his lower back slowly stretching to meet his upper back. there is no know cure. it is normally treated with hydrocodone, soma compound, and beer.
