I'm a college student and want to buy a Lightning but the college part is taking most of my money. i have heard about people buying a new Lightning awhile after they come out and saving some money. how much money could i possibly save and how long should i wait to try to get the best deal. also, if anyone knows of a dealership that still has new Lightnings could you please let me know. Preferably on the east coast. Thanks for your help.

 

Im in your situation too. You can get lightnings for $28,800 on the x-plan but you need the pin number which you cant get yourself anymore. Maybe someone will let you use theirs.

 

If you cant buy a new one, why not try to find a used one?

 

i would just rather have one that only i have owned. i have a used vehicle now and i just want to buy a new vehicle. just my personal prefernce i guess.

 

Yeah I am in the same situation as you Flashy L. I'm a college student and would like to purchase a lightning in the next year or so. My goal is to save up enough and only have to take out a 5-7k loan. I have a good amount saved up already. I will probably try to find a used one though, just to save myself 2-3k that I could put in for mods.

 

I think i recall seeing someone say that they could get a new Lightning for 27,500 because it was about a year old and it was time for the new L's to come out. That's kinda what i'm looking for but maybe i'm wrong about it being new. If anyone has seen one for around that price, let me know please. Thanks
