I'm an old timer resident of the King Ranch Forum.
Although I live in the UK I do have a KR I use when I am in the States.
I have been educating my young (22 year old ) neighbour on the delights of trucking...something that is not really known here.
(Though I am sure the trend is taking off)
Anyway he is quite taken with the Lightning (He drives the hottest versions of the Subaru World Rally Car, and the Mitsubishi Evo.)

He wanted to know (Although I know you'll say it defeats the object!)...

" Has anyone ever reproduced the Lightning spec. on a Supercrew or Supercab body?"

 

I read last year an article on an aftermarket tuners mods to a suprecab with an S/C which was close to L specs but it was infinitely slower due to the weight, and cost more also.

 

The new Harley F-150 is a Supercrew truck with the Lightning drivetrain in it, minus 2 psi.

There's a supercrew that look like an L, don't know anything about it though

 

Every now and again I see "Supercrew Lightnings" in the Dupont Registry. Most of the time they are advertised by the customizers out west, claiming to have the complete Lightning drivetrain, brakes, etc. I sometimes wonder if they are being truthful, or are they just putting crate motors, trannies, and PCM's in otherwise stock Supercrews.
