Bedrail guard removal

Sorry, if I'm beating a dead horse here guys, but bear with me. I want to take the plastic bedrail guards off of my bed, but only if I can pretty much see what it looks like when they are already off, does anyone know where I can find a picture of an L with those removed? Thanks.

Hey bozman I took mine off for a wash and wax. You can take them off by starting at the rear and pull up on them. but not to hard as you do not want to break them. there are 6 plastic clips that go to through the top of the bed. I found that if you push up on these clips and you will hear them pop as you are pulling it will come off easier. As for your question of how will it look with them off. Its not pretty you will not like it as there is a big seam underneath where they mate the metal bed and the fiberglass side panels together. Also if you do take them off when you put them back on you have to start at the rear and just bang it back down with a rubber mallet or your fist. hope this helps. Dennis...............

Post smooth bedrails

If you're interested in the smooth look I seen where Stylin' Concepts is offering smooth bedcaps. They are black ABS I believe, you can paint to match. I was looking for the mag so I could post a link, but I can never find anything when needed Go to www.stylinconcepts.com and enter MA1370 in the search column.

Thanks

They are on the Stylin Concepts Super Crew. It is like yellow/orange/rust colored. It was in a Truckin Magazine.

Look on their website it is the 2nd truck from the right on their homepage.

I saw that on their website thanks. As for if anyone wants to order them i would suggest calling up styling the part number that comes up isnt for the flair side. Also the tailgate piece doesnt show up in case you want to order that. just call them up and tell them you want it for a lightning and what year and they will take care of you.

Post Just ordered them myself...

and I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival. Sorry to get back to you so late Badazz516, but I've been away from my computer all week. I'm hoping that they look as good on my truck as the ones in the pic on the website. The stock rails on these trucks have always been kind of an eyesore to me, just my opinion.
