Guys,
I can't BELIEVE it's the same truck! I had a twelve
hour long sheat eating grin coming home! Only took
9 hours on the way back <grin>
If anyone wants regular stuff for their Lightning's, just go
to Jegs or WalMart ...
But if you want a CUSTOM SHOP to work on your truck,
custom tune the chip, and run a chip that has been
designed and programmed by Jim, you just GOTTA GO
TO THE SOURCE.
Rich, Sean, Jim, and what's-her-name? LOL oh yeah,
Julie! --- THANKS so very much for your Jersey hospitality
and hard work. If I don't turn an 11.9 I will be very surprised.
The truck is hookin and cookin ...
Cliff <Going to BED now!!!!>
PS..... Does this make me part of TEAM JDM now???????

Cliff,
Is your list of mods in your sig up to date? If you break 11's with that ... well ... that's just awesome! I don't even have my L yet and I'm so tempted to already order parts for it.
I think I better drive it stock a little bit and then I'll jump into mods. I do plan on starting with FT Valve body mod, Cobra R pump, and electric fan ... then exhaust/Intake/chip from there. I can't wait till I pick up my truck next friday!

There shop is indeed awesome, and there work is 2nd to none.
I know it is a long ride, for me it is 4.5 hours and I have done it a few times.

USAA is screwin around a bit. Kinda the pain with online banking, earliest they can get me a check is next Tuesday (
) so I'll most likely be taking off work next friday and flying out to drive my new truck back. heh One more week damnit, I can't wait! Gotta put the Jeep up at the mall this week, it'd be nice to move it out before I get the truck.
We'll chat at work ...
Later,
Yeah Don, I saw your BLOCK out FRONT ....
For a custome machine shop and jobber type shop
Jim has quite the setup. I watched him rebuild a
motor while Rich was working on my truck. More
talent there than in my whole body ....
AND I owe BrianK a big thanks for letting the boys work on my
truck and not have to stay anther night.... So THANKS Brian !!

Cliff,
It was good meeting you this week. I departed today around 1PM... Traffic from Baltimore to home(fairfax) was terrible.....But hey, it was a good few days away.....................
Let us know what your truck runs now. I'm sure 12's, but the question is how low????
We got my usual tune worked out this morning and all is looking good. Those 3.73's really make a difference off the line. The truck feels alot lighter and quicker.
I will be at the track on the 8th to see what the difference is. Of course the biggest difference is that the temp is about 20 degrees hotter than my last visit 2 weeks ago
.........
May be time to hang up the helmet for the summer and make my second home hOOters......
Enjoy your mods and keep us updated!!

SVT_KY,
You made a great choice with JDM products. I have been quite pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of their products. I am fortunate to have JJ of JJSSVT.com only a 10 minute drive away to install all my JDM parts. I could not imagine having to drive 9 hours to get mods done in light of my busy work schedule. Best of luck with future mods. The SOTP difference in your mods can be deceptive, however, remember this is a HEAVY, non-aerodynamic truck. Not sure what the tracks are like in KY but my best guess would be a 12.7 - 12.8 @ 107 - 108 MPH would be a little more realistic. Don't mean to burst your bubble but a lot depends on traction, weather, and good air. If you can run an 11.9 I'll make a trip to KY to run ya!

P.S. Welcome to the JDM Team

It's good to hear that people are happy, these are the treads that we like to read. I know people hate to wait, but that is part of life, (Good things come to those that wait) and people need to realize that it is summer time and that the demand for go fast patrs is huge. Supply and demand is crazy right now and all of the tuners are doing their best to make everyone happy.
I love to read happy posts like this one, Way to go JDM, you guys and gals do rock.....

Hope you had a good trip down to BG cliff, was great having ya in for our annual #ford GTG, Just wish the temps were under 92 and not at 100% humidity.
Track wasnt there either, was funny to see ya smoke um up 100ft out, maybe we need to teach ya how to feather the throttle a bit =)
Looks like the water pump and fan really are working, as you stayed pretty conisistant MPH wise, just wishing your ets were lower.
We will talk at ya all laterz

Brandon,
Found a computer huh?
Well, you're right about the heat ... and you're right
about me learning to DRIVE ... But at least I can keep up with
the beer drinking side of the contest.... <grin>
For everyone's interest:
Best time on F1's at 94 degrees and 100% humidity
was 13.21 at 104 with a 1.99 60' ...
Hopefully when it's cooler I can do better.

I keep my laptop handy at nearly every place I go =)..
Hope ya had a good trip home.
Fwiw, looking through all my timesheets, my best was a 13.12@104.5 with a 1.957 60ft. Definitly would have liked ot have bested my 12/94@106 but the weather was not permiting...
On a better note I dynoed the truck friday, and it made 401rwhp, and 555rwtq! Not so bad!!
