Boost on a stock L?
Boost on a stock L?
Does anyone know what the boost is on a stock L?
I have an '02 Harley Davidson edition, which is rated at 340 HP, whereas the L is rated at 380. I've also read in various places that the engine is the same and the HP difference can be accounted for by a lower boost value on the HD version. (I believed that because I compared the upper pulley on my truck with an L and the L is noticeably smaller.)
I've also read that the engine control limits the boost to 8 psi on the L.
I put a boost gage on my truck, and I measured 7 1/2 psi. Doesn't seem like 1/2 psi will account for the 40 HP difference.
So I'm wondering if the difference is simply in the code

Spade$: he is talking about the 2002 harley davidson super-crew.. you know, the one with the LIGHTNING engine in it?
differences:
larger upper pulley (less boost)
different computer program
longer ehxaust (more restrictive)
same heads, cams, crank, MAF, airbox, intercooler, ect.
