Are Nittos any good?

Hey all,

I have started working at a tire shop and they only sell nittos in the 295/45ZR18 size. Does anyone know how good these tires might be? Anyone that has actually used them on a lightning....could you please give me some insight on these tires? Thanks in advance.

Those are a decent street tire. The Drag radial's are better for racing....

I have been using the Nitto 555s, both in the Z rated and the drag radial form, for about 3 years now (on everything from a TT 300 ZX to a Plymouth Breeze to my supercharged '94 GT). The Z rated ones are some of the best all weather performance tires I have found, and still have decent wear and traction ratings. The drag radial are awesome... but after a bit of use they are squirrely as a rabid chipmunk in the rain...

Thumbs up

Just got a set and have 1000miles on them. The grip well, ride harder and hopefully will last longer. This is my third set of tires but my first set of Nitto's. Anything has to be better than the F-1's.
