Stock Airbox Mod...

Ive been reading that mod'in my stock airbox with a k&n is more efficient and less expensive than buying a cold air setup. Whats the best way to mod the stock airbox. Ive seen anything from 10 1/2" holes, to a 4"x4" square cutout, to 4 2" holes. Can anyone gimme some suggestions? Also, does anyone know the part# for the k&n filter. Thanks

-Mike

I cut about half of the bottom out and added a K&N. I could tell a differance the first time I drove it. The airbox mod has got to be the best mod for the money going.

I put 7 holes(a bit over an inch in diameter) in my airbox and so far I haven't noticed much other than the blower whines a bit louder. Granted it has been raining here since I did it so I haven't really been able to "test" it out yet. As for the boost gauge burying after this mod...well my gauge has buried since day one so I won't be able to take joy in that.

And now that I did it I realize I should have asked...Does this mod do a damn thing for 99 and 00's??? LOL,oh well, whats done is done.
