oil breathercap question

oil breathercap question
Is it necessary for me to have a breathercap with the following mods? 1. flipchip
2. #4 pulley
3. valve body
I have remember reading an old post that someone said they lost a little HP with the cap installed and when removed and replaced with the stock oil cap he got his HP back. does this sound right? Does it really help cut down on the oil getting in the intake?
