fule filter

changing fuel filter on a 01 lightning just need to know where to release pressue at??????

Schrader (sp?) valve on the fuel rail.......passenger side.

Let it sit for awhile and will release pressure that way too.

You know of course, that you must have a special tool that slides up between the fuel line and the filter hose and releases the internal clamp, right?

i picked this tool up at a auto zone type store..

Been fighting with this for a while, now. I've given up until I can go somewhere decent and find a tool like Marcus's. The clips I have are cheap crap (damn small town hardware stores). Oh well, not like I'm going anywhere for a while anyway. I have a flat and no time to get it fixed. I don't get home from work until 7pm or so...well after all the tire shops around here have closed. Looks like she's gonna sit on jackstands until next Saturday. Maybe I'll use the need for new tires as an excuse to upgrade to 20s....
