Level 10 built the trans JDM did the first install, but there was a problem with it. So I had to drive back down to Level10 to get it redone. So it was Level 10 who forgott the two bolts.

Thumbs down Update

WTF
I have been hearing a exhaust leak for a while. I had a bud who works at a muffler shop weld all the joints infront and behind the mufflers. It got rid of alot of the noise, but it was still there. I crawled under the truck just now, and found the bolts at the end of the headers where they attach to the cats on the passenger side loose.

I talked to Jim, he said it could have ruined one of my cats.

Come on Level 10 make sure you tighten everything up

heh... so Level 10 is effectively nutless?

Sad thing is I have seen a friend break one of their trannies 3 times already in his '00 L. Apparently any use of NOS is not covered by their warranty, and the horsepower/torque ratings they post are more of a wish list than a true rating...

Don you might want to double check the engine mounts too. With all the torque, and traction, the engine mounts can take a beating if the trans mount is torn or loose. Just a precaution!

Thanks Jay I will have Jim look at them next week.

2Cool
So far the trans is working great, but I only have about 4000 miles on it since they fixed it.

Don, then likely you are fine, as his died within 1K miles of each rebuild. Each time the 2nd gear clutch pack was absolutely smoked. Sad thing is that his stock tranny held up for about 6K miles of constant nitrous use...

Thumbs down Here is the header Collector

Went to my budds place to check the exhaust leak. The header collector gasket was completly gone.

We replaced the gasket with a new one, and replaced the 3 bolts.

The truck sounds all better now, and feels like the power is back.

Check out the damage I did to my hand taking the top bolt out.

that looks like my left hand from taking out my tranny!

I know what you mean by the exhaust sound pissing you off, but I'm a little scarred to weld it all together when my tranny keeps going out. its just that much more of a pain when its welded!

When I got my first replacement tranny dene by ford, those morons forgot to put those tranny mount bolts on mine too! I couldn't figure it out for the life of me until the one day I was changing the oil and noticed it. 12 milimeter nuts are hard to find sometimes too!
